MVC - Bridgetown Rd

Station was alerted at 2215hrs for and MVC unknown on injuries. B704 responded with Asst. Chief Wothers and a crew of four, S702 responded with Chief Bartz and a crew of six, E703 responded with a staffing of six. PM 17, U708 and U707 all responded within seconds of intitial dispatch. U708 arrived to find one car into the woods, checking on injuries. Pt was found still in the vehicle. B704 arrived and 717 (Wothers)assumed Bridgetown Road command. S702 assignment was to set up the light tower and traffic control. E703 was to shut down traffic at Cutoff Rd and Bridgetown Rd. U708 shut down Bridgetown Road at the county line. Pt was extricated from the car and placed under the care of PM17. Once loaded into PM17, requested aviation for transport to trauma center. E703 was moved past the scene to set up a landing zone for Trooper 6 with a 16 minute ETA. Captain Ron Dixon (719)assumed LZ command. After Trooper 6 departed, the situation was placed under control and all equipment returned. Goldsboro VFC had 22 members on the scene.
