The Goldsboro Volunteer Fire Company regretfully announces the Passing of Marydel VFC, Station 56 Chief Emeritus Al Lane Jr. Chief Emeritus Lane was an active member of MVFC for 55 years. Al was one of the first 911 dispatchers with Kent Center and retired in 1991. He was fireman of the year, is entered in the Hall of Fame in both Delaware and Maryland, and held every office within Marydel VFC. During his 55 years he attended every firemans convention in Delaware and Maryland. He will be greatly missed.
A viewing will be held Wednesday at 10:00am with services immeadiately following, at Torbert Funeral Home on Route 10 in Camden, DE.
