On the first Saturday of December, Goldsboro Vol. Fire Co. holds its annual appreciation dinner. This year would be no different, but for no snow. Some special guests were as follows County Commissioners, Newly elected Sheriff Randy Bounds and wife, Bill Hilderbrand, Mayor Robin Cahall, Sarah Webber and family. DJ Chris Startt set the tempo for the evening. Asst. Chief David Wothers handled the job of MC. Members from surrounding fire stations also attended. Several awards was given out along with years of service pens.
