Fire Prevention Pageant - Station 700
Wednesday, July 4, 2018
On March 6, 2011 Goldsboro Volunteer Fire Department hosted its first fire prevention pageant in four years. We had six contestants total this year, one Jr. Fire Chief, one Little Miss, one Junior Miss, and three Miss contestants. Contestants were judged on their appearance, personality, poise and their answers to questions pertaining to fire prevention and safety. Each Miss contestant was required to write and present a speech on why fire prevention was important to them instead of answering a question. After all the contestants finished the ballots were gathered from the judges and the points were tallied. After a short intermission the winners were announced. We would like to congratulate all winners; Jr. Fire Chief Hunter Parenteau, Little Miss Goldsboro Alaina Domenick, Junior Miss Goldsboro Cheyenne Collett, 2nd Runner Up Miss Ashlee Bass, 1st Runner Up Miss Maryanne Hendricks, and Miss Goldsboro Kionna Earl. We would also like to thank our judges; Jack Reed, Dorothy Yeager, Kandy Wooleyhand, and Karen Sawyer. We look forward to seeing our winners at upcoming parades and events.
