MVC with Ejection - River Bridge Road

At 1723 hours, Stations 700 and 56 (Marydel) were alerted for a reporedly serious motor vehicle collsion with ejection on River Bridge Road south of Bee Tree Road in Henderson. Chief Buffy Madden (56-15) was first on location in his POV and confirmed the incident was as reported, with a pickup truck upright in the roadway and a male patient ejected. Paramedic 17(R.Simpson/F.Smith) arrived and immediately requested aviation for a Category B/Priorty 2 patient. Brush 705(716/B.Cahall)arrived shortly thereafter and established River Bridge Road Command. Engine 56-1 assisted Command at the scene while Engine 702(R.Dixon) responded to the Henderson Community Park just north of the accident scene and set up a landing zone for MSP Trooper 4. The patient was trasported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for treatment. Also on the scene was the Maryland State Police, Caroline County Sheriff's Department and Caroline County DPW. Units operated for an hour before returning to service.
