3 Car Pile-up in the 7-1 - Main Street and Old Line Road
Wednesday, July 4, 2018
Friday afternoon's rush hour traffic brought with it a 3 car collision in the heart of The Hub. The Station was alerted for the MVC at approximately 1814 hours. Paramedic 17 (Shandrowski) arrived to find 3 vehicles in the intersection of Main Street and Old Line Road. Brush 705 (719/R. Dixon) arrived shortly thereafter and established "Main Street Command." A check of the scene revealed that all occupants were self-extricated no one was injured. Engine 702 (715/JT Bartz) arrived and handled spill control and traffic direction. Because the Maryland State Police had an extended ETA due to priority calls, units operated on the scene for nearly 90 minutes, as one of the vehicles could not be removed from the roadway due to extensive damage to its front axle.
