April's Monthly Company-Level Drill - Station 700
Wednesday, July 4, 2018
Members of Station 700 took part is some useful training during this month's company-level drill. The evening began with an informative PowerPoint presentation by Ambulance Captain Chrissy Bartz on a dangerous new trend called "detergent suicide." Members were cautioned on the extreme life hazards presented by this toxic mixture of household chemicals used by individuals seeking to end their lives. Following the classroom portion of the drill, members donned their gear and went outside to hone their extrication skills under the direction of Chief JT Bartz and Assistant Chief Dave Wothers. Using the Hurst Tool and related equipment, members practiced door pops and roof cuts on a vehicle graciously provided by Henderson Auto Salvage. Everyone in attendance found the training to be very beneficial.
