Reported Partial Structure Collapse - 27430 Sandtown Road

Just before 1930 hours, Station 700 was alerted for a report of the partial collapse of a residence at 27430 Sandtown Road just to the east of town. Brush 705 (716-B. Cahall) arrived on location reporting heavy snow and ice on the roof of an occupied mobile home. Deputy Chief Cahall established Sandtown Road Command. Further investigation revealed slight sagging in the ceiling of a section of the mobile home. There was no entrapment and no injuries were reported. Officer 715 (J.T Bartz-POV), EMS 7 (C. Bartz-POV), Engine 703 (719-R. Dixon) and Rescue 700 (717-D. Wothers) arrived on location shortly thereafter to assist. Crews worked for just over an hour clearing snow and ice from the roof. Occupants of the residence declined an offer for alternative housing pending an inspection of the residence.
