Control Burn
Schyler Rd
Saturday, November 3, 2012

Today the members trained on laying a supply line and hose handling. We had the chance to train because of local residents allowing us to burn a falling down house. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Thetfords. B705 and B704 were able to make it up the long lane while E703 and T706 stayed on the hard surface. T706 supplied the 3" that was gated to two hand lines. Our Firefighters that are currnently in FF1 was able to use the handlines to control the fire and keep the surrounding wooded area wet. There was plenty of time to watch fire and learn fire behavior. E703 remained in available during the control burn. Thanks to all who attended.
