At 1457 hours, tones were sounded for Rescue Box 7-3 at the intersection of Bridgetown Road and Day Road. Caroline Communications (T. Williams/J. Holland/S. Starkey) received information that the incident was a serious MVC involving a vehicle off the roadway. Engine 703 (Officer 722-W. Durham) arrived to find that a motorcycle had collided with a farm tractor pulling a manure spreader, with a male patient laying on the side of the roadway. Brush 705 arrived a short time later and Officer 716 (B. Cahall) established "Bridgetown Road Command." Utility 708 and Paramedic 17 (D'Orlando/Eskridge) began patient care and requested aviation to transport the seriously injured patient to the hospital. Engine 702 (Officer 715 - JT Bartz) handled the landing zone for MSP Trooper 6 in an open field near the accident scene. Station 700 units were assisted at the scene by the Caroline County Sheriff's Office and the Maryland State Police. Units operated on location for approximately 40 minutes before turning the scene over to MSP for investigation.
